“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”~ Matt. 6:34
Andrew A. Bonar wrote, “God wants us to live a miniature life-time every day.” He goes on to say, “It is the burden of one day the Lord carries, ‘Give us this day.…’”It was daily manna He provided. It is not The Yearly Christian Life, nor The Monthly, or even Weekly; but The Daily Christian Life that we are to live.
My daughter Leah sent me a wall plaque some years back, and I have it hanging in my front room. It says, “Live Every Day As If It Were Your Last.” This is not morbidity, it is reality! As the cliche goes, “Yesterday is a cancelled check; tomorrow is a promissory note; today is the only cash you have — so spend it wisely.”
Most certainly every day is not a sunny day, some have there clouds. As another has mentioned concerning those rainy days, “To make the best of them is to make the least of them.”
As I have mentioned before, in our morning talks (prior to her Homegoing), after our devotional time with the Lord, my wife brought out something enlightening on the text, “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” She pointed out the fact it has to do with our will, whether we rejoice or not! It’s up to us how our days go.
“ And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life...Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits.”

So happy it helped!
"Yesterday He helped me, today He did the same, how long will this continue? forever, bless His Name!"
My dear mother's favorite.
This is such a great reminder for me today.
