“When He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe…”~ 2 Thess. 1:10
The word “admire” and its kin is found only once in the Holy Scriptures.
Some definitions that dictionaries give the word are: respect; esteem; appreciate; warm approval; marvel; and to look on with pleasure. Its root is from the Latin meaning: wonderful, wonder.
One writer commented, “Small things do not cause admiration, but what we feel is great.” Most certainly we admire the Lord Jesus now, but then, at His coming, it will be with ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands of admiring, HALLELUJAHS!
Our present state prevents us from giving Him the honour due Him, but then in perfect bodies and no fleshly hindrances, He will receive praises like time and eternity have never experienced. The echo will reverberate throughout eternity.
Not only will He receive all our admiration for what He has done, but for who He is! The Person comes before the Performance.
WOW!! So good. 😁😁
