Alone With Jesus
“…and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.”~ Jn. 8:9
In my lifetime I’ve had the privilege of being alone in the presence of individuals whose company I absolutely cherished. But all of them fade in comparison when I think of my times alone with Jesus. No one can even begin to compare, not even my dear late wife; and she would have said the same of me.
In our story, found in John chapter eight, we find after the condemning legalist slithered out, the woman was left alone with the Man who was Full of Grace and Truth. He did not condemn her, “Neither do I condemn thee.” But neither did He condone her lifestyle, “…go and sin no more.” Grace teaches us that we should deny ungodliness, and live godly in this present world (Titus 2:12).
When I am alone with Jesus, like the woman, I find the past has no unpaid accounts against me, and that the present and future are as bright as the promises of GOD! What a glorious state to be in now, as well as an anticipated bright future!
HE RESTORETH AND REFRESHES MY SOUL!
Alone with Jesus,
peaceful and still
alone with Jesus
blissfully tranquil.
Alone with Jesus,
down on my knee
alone with Jesus
just Him and me!
