“Then when Jesus came, he found that he had
lain
in the grave four days already."

After hearing of His good friend Lazarus’s death, Jesus waited four days before going to his aid. But all involved found, in hindsight, that Jesus’ delays are not denials. God’s glory was involved, and only Jesus was aware of that fact.
There is one thing a child of God, in His will, can always depend on- Jesus showing up whenever and wherever He is needed. It may be at our last minute, but we need to always keep in mind that God’s clock is not set to our time.
In the last few years, I have been in the hospital on two different occasions. And I can say, as far as I am concerned, there is no lonelier place in the world than lying in a hospital bed at two o’clock in the morning.
But just as Jacob found out, so I came to realize,
“And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not,”

Old Bill, an illiterate, but knew Jesus as few did, would begin all his prayers with, “It's Bill, Jesus.” Late at night, sick and dying, alone in his hospital room, a doctor in white apparel stood at the foot of his bed. He whispered, “IT’S JESUS, BILL.
