Christianity-A Child's Religion?
The pseudo Macho-Man of our day would have us believe Christianity is for children alone, hoping to bring ill-repute to its Founder and His followers. Almost always his type is wrong in their evaluation of the Christian faith, but in this case he, without realizing it, is 100% right.
The greatest authority on life and eternity told His followers, “[Jesus] said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”~ (Matt. 18:3) You may keep your head as an adult, but must have the heart of a child!
What the muscle-minded critic does not see is depicted in the following picture:
Like His Lord the true Christian is a paradox. Jesus was both The Lamb of God and at the same time, “The Lion of the tribe of Judah.” We Christians are children, with a lion-like spirit within us.
I once saw a miniature doberman pinscher take on a dog three times his size, defeating the larger. The former was small in size, but a giant in spirit!
“For though He was crucified through weakness, yet He liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.”~ 2 Cor. 13:4
