“These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.”~ Rev. 14;4
You may think it strange-- lambs following a lamb, but we’re told by those in the know that sheep have a strong instinct to follow the sheep in front of them. If one decides to go a certain way, usually the others will follow, even if it leads to a wrong and dangerous place.
Sheep will follow another even to the slaughter. The leader of them, in this case, is characteristically called "the Judas Goat” It is spared of its own life by sacrificing all the others who follow it. Thank God our Lamb went to the slaughter to save those of us who follow Him! You can always recognize the latter of the two: His ways are in the ways of righteousness, so darling David tells us in Psalm 23. Our Lamb will never lead us down a road other than the one named "Right."
Would you like to find and follow God’s lovely Lamb? You will find the answer in the Song of Solomon. [Shulamite] “Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest…[Lover] go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock…”~ Sng. 1:7-8. Just follow the lambs who follow "The Lamb of God." You will find Him with His lambs, even among just two or three.
When John the Baptist first introduced Jesus to the world we’re told, “John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”~ Jn. 1:29
