“Verily I say unto you, that He [Jesus] shall gird Himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.”~ Lk. 12:37
“And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.”~ Rev.19:9
As a word that can be used as either a noun or a verb, the two main definitions of the word 'host’ are: 1. a great number, multitude. 2. a person who receives guests and serves them.
How He loves to serve us! The Man Christ Jesus has chosen that position throughout eternity. “And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” ~ 1 Cor. 15:28 He will be The Eternal Servant, if you please.
What a family reunion! “And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.”~ Matt. 8:11 No one in the family will be missing; all will be there. Everyone’s cup will be overflowing; and oh what laughter there will be!“Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.~ Lk. 6:21 And all the family squabbles will have been worked out by our Elder Brother.
How He loved to sit around the table with His loved ones. “Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany…There they made Him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.”~ Jn. 2:1-2 This was true in Matthew and Zacchaeus’ case also. Many of the sinners He was criticized for eating with when on earth will be seated at that heavenly table with the rest of us redeemed sinners.
“A family is like a circle.
The connection never ends;
and even if at times it breaks,
in time, it always mends.” ~Anon~
Amen brother… we are praying for you 🙏
