LIFE!
It is too short not to be enjoyed!
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”~ Jn. 10:10
Jesus tells His followers that it was not just life He came to give them, but an abundant life! But this life can only be found in Him. The world has a pseudo abundant life, but it is only cosmetic, it is surface, not bone deep. The unregenerate life never touches the soul.
A life without Christ is only a life without anything! He is the source of all life. Paul tells us, “He is our life!” Jesus Himself tells us, “I am the…life.”
It is shameful to see so many believers today only enduring life, rather than enjoying it! MARTYN LLOYD-JONES writes, “Unhappy Christians are, to say the least, a poor recommendation for the Christian faith.”
Peter speaks of those who “…will love life, and see good days…” To love life and long for good days is not sinful, but rather scriptural! Remember the days in which his readers lived were dark ones.
The sad saint of Ecclesiastes was so because he lived for only those things under the sun, and not those things above the sun!
