“And as he [Jacob] passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.”~ Gen. 32:31
From the day Jacob met Jesus personally, he limped along the rest of his days on this earth. Even when dying he leaned upon his staff. In fact, he entered heaven halting; but crossing the threshold, he began to leap! All crutches are left outside Heavens gate, there is no longer any need for them.
I witnessed once to a barber. As I was leaving the shop, he said, “The difference between you and me is that Jesus is your crutch; I don’t need one.” To which I say, “I’d rather limp into heaven with Jesus as my crutch than walk straight into hell without Him.”
Isaiah tells us, “The lame take the prey,” 33:23,b. Not the strong and robust. It was the four lepers who were the recipients of all the bounty of the Syrians, 2 Kgs. 7. It is not our weaknesses that’s keeping us from God’s best, but our strengths. It is said of Uzziah, “…he was marvellously helped, till he was strong. But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction,” 2 Chron. 26:15-16. Samson didn’t seek God in his strength, but he did in his weakness.
After a man or woman meets God face to face their walk is never the same.

And I can't wait to see it! "Then shall the lame...leap as an hart."
Can’t wait to cross that threshold!
