Never, Never, Never! - By God's Help
“Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day…”~ Acts 26:22
I was once asked, “Do you ever think of giving up?” I replied, “Yes, many times over these long years.” To which my inquirer probed deeper, “Why haven’t you, then?” My simple reply was, “I don’t know how.” I did not say this in jest. I truly meant, and mean, it.
It is purported that Winston Churchill said, in the worst of his times, words to the effect, “Never, Never, Never, give up.”
No Christian soldier should ever give up, give in, or give over, to the world, the flesh or the devil! He or she is to stand, and having done all to stand, STAND! In spite of all the fears, doubts, hurts, and misunderstandings and pleadings of loved ones and friends, stand!
Never are we, the Lord’s elect, to surrender our God-given convictions, moral integrity, devotion to Christ, or our loyalty to the Holy Scriptures! These things we are to take to the grave with us.

James Donovan: And I remind you of him?
Rudolf Abel: This one time, I was at the age of your son, our house was overrun by partisan border guards. Dozens of them. My father was beaten, my mother was beaten, and this man, my father's friend, he was beaten. And I watched this man. Every time they hit him, he stood back up again. So they hit him harder. Still he got back to his feet. I think because of this they stopped the beating. They let him live. 'Stoikiy muzhik'. I remember them saying. '' Which sort of means like uh, 'standing man'... standing man…”
