“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.”~ Eph. 3:14-15
In the western movie Wyatt Earp, Gene Hackman plays the father of Wyatt. In one scene, as the family sits around the dinner table, his children tease him on his oft repeated saying to them, “Nothing counts so much as family; the rest are just strangers.” In this case he was right on. The Bible refers to all outside the Family of God as“Strangers.”
There are those of us who had the misfortune of an upbringing in a dysfunctional family. Most certainly we who have not made it Home yet have our differences. Nevertheless, these do not void our love for one another. When we do enter our Father’s House, all quibbling will be done away with. As the old-time parent would say, “We’ll have none of that in this house!
Can you imagine sitting around that Great Supper table, seemingly endless, with all our brothers and sisters? And our Elder Brother serving the likes of us, ex-prodigals? All this with our Father sitting at the head of the table on His Throne? The whole Family of God, as the Irish would say, “Safe Home,” eternally together, not one missing! What a blessed thought: “I BELONG TO THE FAMILY OF GOD!” Do you?
“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”~ Gal. 3:26

Yes! We have a LARGE Christian family.
Richard I’ve actually thought about this in the past. That table is going to be huge! But God will work it out and we will all be in the front row.
