“…Jesus Christ…loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood.”~ Rev. 1:5
“And he said to me, These are they which…have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb”~ Rev. 7:14
Some synonyms for deep-dyed are: complete; deeply ingrained; fixed; through and through; to the core; unchangeable; utter. To put it simply, it can’t be undone! You could use, I understand, black or some dark, dark shade, I’m told. In the subject we’re writing, it sounds like the devil would be the one to instigate the dark colors.
From Abel's sacrificial lamb up to God’s propitiatory Lamb, there must have been thousands of gallons of animal blood shed. But the writer of Hebrews tells us, “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”
Paul tells us, “He (JESUS) is our Passover Lamb.” O, dear doubting friend, listen to that “still, small voice." It can still be heard. “…when I see the blood, I will pass over you…” The Blood makes you safe and the Book makes you sure.
My dear and oldest Christiaan friend, Mark Andrews, gave me an Illustration when I was just a babe in Christ. He tore a piece of cellophane paper in two, holding one piece in each hand. Then holding his hands up to the sun, one hand in front of the other. He asked me to look through the one at the other. When I stared through the crimson piece to the other, the latter became white!
This is how God sees those washed in the Blood of His Son!
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”~ Isa. 1:18
