The Good Works Of God!
“Consider the wondrous works of God.”~ Job 37:14
“We do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.”~ Acts 2:11
When was the last time you seriously considered the wondrous works of God? When is the last time you spake of them publicly, to the brethren or lost world?
Part of our spiritual attire is meditating on and showing forth His good works. But sad to say, as Israel of old, so it is with us, “They soon forgat his works.”~ Ps. 106:13. “[They] forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.”~ Psa. 78:11.
Forget! Yes, they, like many of us, had short memories. Who could ever forget all the miracles, deliverances, unnumbered times of forgiveness, guidance, daily provisions, the list is legion. “Beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.”~Deut. 6:12
The story is told of a poor beggar boy, who upon becoming a man, became a king. He had a throne room that he alone entered once daily for a period of time. After his death his servants found nothing but a chair, an old wooden bowl, and some ragged clothes, in the room. Upon leaving the room was a sign on the door which read, LEST I FORGET!
