“But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you…But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.”~ Phil. 2”19,24.
Anyone even faintly acquainted with Paul’s life and ministry is aware of the fact he trusted God in the most dire of circumstances and also for insurmountable needs in impossible situations.
But the aged saint trusted his God for, what we would term, the small, everyday things of life: like a visit to friends he longed to see. Trust is trust, no matter how big or small the case may be.
Let it never be said of any of us, “For who hath despised the day of small things?” Don’t forget our Lord’s words concerning the mustard seed, “…a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches…” Like trust, it can be in small things or great, but is still the same seed.
To be sure, trust can remove great obstacles in our lives that seem mountainous; but it can also open a parking place, get the furnace to work again, get the car started when conked out, plus a thousand and one other little things in our Christian lives.
“Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.~Isa. 26:4

Thank you for this, it was a blessing! I always get excited to see God when He answers prayers even for the “little things” - to know that He cares ❤️
