“Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him...it shall be told thee (after a 3 day wait) what thou must do?”~ Acts 9:6
During crisis times in our lives God does not always tell us what He is up to, but generally will tell us later. As He told Peter, “What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.” Like the little chorus goes, “I believe the answer’s on the way; I believe the Lord has heard me pray.”
Joseph told Pharaoh, “God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.” If that be the case in an unregenerate life, how much more in the lives of God’s elect?
I have always loved the text about God and His faithful servant Abraham, “ “And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do?”
Jesus told His followers, “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”
O, my beloved, the God of Jacob who answered him in all his trials is our God also. “God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.”
Wait! and keep your ears perked; listen for that, “…still small voice.”
