…he that believeth shall not make haste.”~Isa. 28:16
We’ll never catch up. As someone else has said,“…even at death our in-box will be full.” For all of us helter-skelter people there will still be things undone at the end.
Until just recently I have run myself ragged, trying to catch up and stay ahead of things. I do not know if the cause was my near-death experience having my heart attack nine years ago; or my wife's death five years ago. Or just getting old. One way or the other I have spent the last few years in the frustrated zone, as I like to call it.
The only time in life a believer is justified in making haste is when the Lord bids us so. Other than that we are to live life on a normal plane, always doing the next thing. This is the normal protocol for every child of God!
I have observed those among us who are incessantly trying to catch up never really enjoy life. We have no time for other things or people, we’re too busy, as my Granny would say, “Running around like a chicken with its head cut off.”
“Take everything in stride, if not, you’ll run yourself to death.”For those who want to support us regularly or send a gift, contact me through my email. I'll give instructions.
Brother Sandlin I believe all of us go through times in our lives when we fight the same thing. I know I do! We will keep you in our prayers for you to slow down and enjoy all the Lord has for you.
