My strength is made perfect in weakness.”~ 2 Cor. 12:9
GOD IS MORE THAN ABLE WHEN WE BECOME UNABLE
The question is not is God strong enough, but rather are we weak enough? It is in helplessness, hopelessness, fearfulness, impossibility, total loss, nothingness and voidness that He does His best work. We desire for God to do great things in our lives, but we do not want to be put in any of the above mentioned categories. Jesus said it was the sick who need the physician.
GOD WAITS...AND WAITS...AND WAITS...AND WAITS...
So we now see why God has not yet moved on your behalf; it is because the situation is not dire enough. Throughout the scriptures you see God waiting until things move out of the realm of possibilities to the sphere of the impossible. To cite just one case: God waited twenty-five years after promising Abraham and Sarah a son— until it was humanly futile.
GOD HELPS THOSE WHO CAN’T HELP THEMSELVES
It says of King Uzziah, “He was marvellously helped, till he was strong. But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction,” 2 Chron. 26:15-16. Another has written, “Human weakness provides the best backdrop for the display of divine power.” Let us offer to God our inabilities so that He can use them as a weapon to manifest His sovereign ability!
As paradoxical as it may seem, “The lame take the prey.”~ Isa. 33:23
