Without question there are times in life we must make crucial choices between this or that. That is, take the one at the expense of the other. I’m not talking about one’s choice between a sinful or righteous life. Generally speaking, those decisions are few in comparison to one’s overall picks.
There’s conflict in some lives because they think, so to speak, they cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. You can have both this and that at the same time if in God’s divine order.
Let me give a simple example. In Matt. 6:33 we’re told if we put God first we can have things, that come with such a choice. If in making the decision we put the that (God), over things (the material world).
So we, as mentioned, see the two can exist simultaneously if in their designated setting. However, we must always keep in mind there are times when this takes precedence over that; and vice versa. But we must still be mindful it is not necessary to give up the one for the other!
