You Can Do What You Ought To Do

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”~ Phil. 4:13

If Christ tells you can do it, then you can do it, no matter what others say, what the circumstances, or how impossible it may seem. If you have God’s go ahead, get to it!

I had a dear preacher friend, now with the Lord, who had cerebral palsy. He used to say, “‘Can’t’ is not in the handicapped dictionary.” Whenever we put God in any difficult situation, everything changes. It goes from impossible to possible!

Dr. Lloyd-Jones has an interesting comment on our text. “It is not Christ without I, it is not I without Christ. It is Christ and I!” There are two of us. Don’t expect Christ to do for you what He has enabled you to do.

Scientists tell us it is impossible for a honey-bee to fly. Because of the placement of its wings and the weight of the body, it can’t be done. But it does! Why? Because God says it can be done! And so it is in our lives, my friend.
