Recently on YouTube, I listened to a song that blessed my heart. The title is, “Deep Waters,” by a singing group named, Project Ten Men. Scriptures began flooding my mind as I listened. The following article is a result of this precious song.
Any and all Spirit-filled believers, I’m sure, would agree with me that one of the main characteristics of Christendom today is shallowness of soul. Jesus spoke of this sort in the story of the Seed and the Sower. “Because they had no deepness…” (Matt. 13:5). He tells us the result was they had no fruitfulness.
It takes faith to“Launch out into the deep.” It doesn’t take a lot of faith to splash around the shoreline. It’s a place to start for a beginner, but God intended His children to ultimately go to deep waters. Ezekiel chapter forty-seven speaks of waters to the ankles, then to the knees, then up to the loins, and finally, waters to swim in.
If you want your life, like the net in Luke 5, to be so full you can’t contain the blessings, GO DEEP~ rds

I went to listen to the song and felt encouraged. Yes, the shallowness of faith is detrimental to the soul and the church as a collective body of Christ. It's very sad to see this widespread phenomenon. But, God is faithful even when we are not. He knows how to lead His people into deep waters.
Thank you for introducing the song and the insightful reflection.
